The Bighorn Sheep is named for the ram's (male's) massive horns which can weigh up to 30 pounds. Ewes (females) also have horns, but they are shorter with less curvature. These mountain sheep can use ledges only 2 inches wide for footholds to zigzag up and down cliff faces with ease.
